What is Microneedling?!?
Why is it all the rage???

One of my favorite services to offer is Microneedling. It may sound scary and even painful but I promise after you read this article you will have plenty of information and knowledge to know its really not so bad.
Microneedling is a.k.a collagen induction therapy. This amazing service can be used to treat almost everything from hyper-pigmentation to acne scars. Microneedling is the use of small titanium steel sterile needles. These tiny needles make small perforations in the skin and can reach a depth of 2 mm. This provides a channel for serums like hyaluronic acid, vitamin c and even plasma to injected right to your dermis for incredibly faster absorption. Greatly enhancing the benefits and providing instant results.

There are many techniques and ways microneedling is being used. At Skincare Evolution we use it for anti-aging, acne scars, hyper-pigmentation and even to help rid your chin of unwanted fat. We use microneedling in a soft stamping motion this allows us to make necessary perforations with out tearing or causing to much trauma to the skin. When microneedling is used in a stamping motion clients feel little to no pain even when no topical lidocaine is used. This method also helps to create less redness, bruising or swelling.

After the service clients usually experience almost no down time. The most common symptoms is dry skin. This is due to the cell turnover, your skin begins to work hard to repair itself creating new beautiful collagen rich skin. Most clients see results immediately but best results are usually seen with in 2 weeks after treatment.

Overall microneedling is a very safe and controlled service. A service that is highly misunderstood due to so many online videos of people bleeding and causing unnecessary trauma to the skin. Give us a call to schedule a free consultation so we can discuss what microneedling can do for you and your skin.
